Miranda Lambert is helping the animals in need in her hometown. Her organization MuttNation has just opened an adoption center in Lindale, Texas.
MuttNation partnered up with Rescue Rebuild for the new adoption center. The city of Lindale provided two acres of land, with a restored home to serve as the center. There is also a dog park on the property.
Rescue Rebuild works to repair and renovate buildings to be made suitable for animal shelters. An outside organization will be responsible for operating the facility.
The MuttNation Station adoption center in my hometown is officially OPEN! A lot of people worked hard to make this happen and we're so thankful for their support of our mission to help dogs find loving homes! And a special thanks to @greatergoodorg for celebrating your 10th anniversary with @MuttNationFoundation and to #CertifiedRoses, @rescue.rebuild, @tjcapaches and #CityOfLindale.
Lambert’s mother, Bev Lambert, was in attendance for the ribbon cutting and official opening of the shelter on October 25th.
“This is exactly what I had envisioned, but better. I believe when we host adoption drives in here people will feel like they’re in their own house.”
Adoption events will begin in two weeks at the new center, and a some new development to the dog park will commence in the spring.
